Pain makes nerves and muscles sensitive to touch and movement. That causes scar tissue to build up, which increases inflammation, and the inflammation causes more pain. The longer the cycle runs the more difficult treatment becomes. With the right approach and the correct tools, even the most chronic of pains can be improved.

Assessment and treatment
Dr. Lombardi uses manual techniques and medical acupuncture on neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, back and extremities, motor vehicle trauma, and sports related injuries.

Back to moving
The correct tools break the pain cycle by manually removing scar tissue and relaxing the tissues, so the nervous system re-programs and proper joint and muscle movement returns.

Dr. Lombardi uses a combination of electro-acupuncture, muscle release and joint manipulation when addressing these conditions, with three goals: decrease symptoms, decrease mechanical stress on injured tissues, and restore pain-free movement.
Hands-on treatment
Chiropractic adjustment
Using only the most modern clinical techniques, Dr. Lombardi treats injuries affecting the musculoskeletal system, from the wear and tear of everyday life to the sudden onset of back pain. The treatment is non-invasive and drug free.
Medical acupuncture
The right measure of electro-acupuncture relaxes the tissues and normalizes the nerves, which helps re-program the nervous system and restore proper joint and muscle movement.
Massage therapy
Therapeutic massage is offered at the clinic alongside the chiropractic, acupuncture and physiotherapy work, and can be combined with them when that gives the better outcome.
Recovery and injury care
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps restore your ability to perform everyday activities and stay active. It complements chiropractic care when that is warranted, along with laser therapy.
Orthotics and braces
Custom foot orthotics and braces are fitted at the clinic, for the mechanical stress that walking and standing put on injured tissue.
Auto accident injuries
Motor vehicle trauma, including whiplash, is treated at the clinic's Auto and Sport Injury Centre, which has run alongside the practice since 2006.

Anthony J. Lombardi, Doctor of Chiropractic, is the clinic director and co-founder of this full-scale clinic offering chiropractic, medical acupuncture, laser, physiotherapy, automobile accidents, therapeutic massage and naturopathic medicine. He and his father Mario founded the organization in 2002, and Hamilton Back Clinic Auto and Sport Injury Centre followed in 2006.
Dr. Anthony Lombardi
Doctor of ChiropracticThree years of kinesiology at McMaster University, then four years at New York Chiropractic College for his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He is fully trained and certified in muscle release techniques, and studied the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University over two years, which led to his position as a senior instructor there.
Mario Lombardi
Office managerA retired school teacher, Mario co-founded the organization with his son in 2002 and manages the office. The clinic created the Glanbrook Community Scholarship, which provides financial aid to students living in the Glanbrook area.
